Dark turned to Light
Confined by chains of selfishness and doubt, how do you break free from a past that consumes me.Bounded by ropes that won't seem to let my mind go, being pulled so many ways not certain which way to go I can't break free from my past stronghold. Your strong they say, your a man they say, move in silence and say nothing this is the Mans way. Who's there to lift his chin who's there to say you can win. Depression, anxiety, bipolarness these are the things they tell us is wrong, what caused them? where did they come from? I am a man that can no longer run. Stand and face it they say;be tough they say;what will happen if a man can't stand and there's no one there to give him a helping hand. Feet bruised from the miles;body worn from the years. A smile is a smile no more;a heart is a heart that's not even yours anymore. Light turned to dark. Then I woke up.
The heart beats again! Smiles raining down from the simplest of things. Blessings descending down from the highest king. Rays of light shining through the storm. Holding on to something you can't see: Yeah that's the faith that drives me. Unable to be pentrated by darkness, a hedge of protection around me. A circle of angels who at a moment's notice defend. A God who is so merciful and loving, unafraid to scold his child but reward for following the instructions of life. Having nothing but always having faith for better gives you better in time. You can’t teach patience, You learn patience. Oblivious to fake smiles, even the one adorned on my own face. Through Gods grace we don’t sit broken hearted, in darkness, we come alive in the light.
