The Safe

Only valuable things can be in the safe,
so bright, full of life cannot be replaced
Like liquid gold that moves so fast,
covering, touching, giving contrast.

I wish to show it to the world outside,
but it is forced to stay where shadows hide.
Yet it gives meaning, enriches my soul,
as I carefully guard, with caution and control.

Like visiting the bank from time to time,
laughing together with a joyful rhyme.
It brings me recovery a soothing balm,
with melodic tunes that keep me calm.
