Romeo, Juliet
In the quiet shadows of Verona,
where love wove its silken threads,
two hearts beat in defiance—
a capulet’s whisper entwined with a montague's sigh.
Ah, Romeo! You who wore passion like armor,
your dreams painted vibrant against cold stone walls.
You dared to dance on the edge of fate,
seeking solace beneath the stars’ indifferent gaze.
And sweet Juliet, a blossom in the dawn;
a frail bloom wrapped in innocence and fire.
Your laughter rang through twilight’s veil—
fragile notes captured by the night breeze.
Yet what is love but a fleeting spark?
A candle flickering bravely against the dark?
With every stolen kiss comes destiny’s scorn;
time twisted into an embrace so cruelly torn.
Within these very streets where joy once thrived,
you became whispers stretched thin across eternity—
lovers trapped between breaths of longing and pain.
Do they still hear your echoes resonating down alleys?
Time mourns you both now:
ghostly figures rendered lovelorn in dust—
the balcony stands silent,
cradling unfulfilled vows like fallen petals,
Oh how fickle fate can be!
The dagger gleamed brighter than any hope you've sown;
in despair’s shadowed depths lay bittersweet resolve,
how could two souls unravel so?
As day breaks anew over old wounds healed,
the world moves forward while love lays crumpled;
but know this—a heartbeat lingers beyond sorrow:
in loss there blooms strength that cannot fade,
So rest now beneath ancient stones and memories' weight,
for time cannot claim what true hearts have shared.
Romeo and Juliet—you are not merely legends;
love eternal carved upon humanity's heart.
