A Whispered Presence

In shadows where the silence mourns,
A ghost of memories wanders near,
Through fading halls where daylight’s shorn,
And echoes linger, crisp and clear.

Once you danced in laughter's light,
Now an ethereal breath resides;
In hazy dreams that veil the night,
You drift on tide as time abides.

The chair sits still—your imprint fades,
Among the dusty tales we spun.
What once was life in cheerful glades
Is now but whispers—cold and done.

Beneath the moon's soft silver gleam,
I call your name to darkened skies;
Yet only shadows hear my dream:
A lullaby of long-lost sighs.

Though you have slipped beyond my grasp,
Your essence lingers like the dew;
With every dawn I breathe and clasp
The fleeting thoughts of me and you.

O gentle spirit! Glide through space;
Leave not this heart in sorrow steeped—
For love remains a timeless grace;
In memory’s garden softly reaped.

So rest you well 'neath starlit arch—
Your journey weaves with mine anew;
Forevermore our souls will march —
As ghosts entwined till worlds are through.
