The Old Poet

My books lean waiting, for a new hand to turn a much turned page.
The slimmest oldest volume will know a greater age.
Than i who lie here  passing, still trying to have my say.
But at least my small participation, my written words will longer stay.
Long enough to pass something forward, to the next who come this way.
