Included But Not Really

As the  poorer friend in company
who had felt  the sharp side of divorce,
when the conversation turns to property's
I felt strange about being included
i would take the dog out
before the rain,
or check whatever needs checking
whatever spares the pain,
of statements like the following
You are better having nothing
or renting till you die
no stress with wills no big decisions
your such a lucky guy.
