Here We Set Our Roots

In this tender field of love delights,
Here, 'neath love's gaze, our hearts take flight.
Jenny and Louis, hearts knit as one,
In the dance of forever, our journey's begun.

With every whispered vow, a seed is sown,
In trust's fertile ground, our love will grow.
Through life's changing seasons, come sun or rain,
Together, unyielding, we shall remain.

Hand in hand, our spirits soar,
Bound by love's grace, forevermore.
In this sacred union, we stand as three,
For Jenny, Louis, and William Dane, our legacy.

In this field of love, our souls entwine,
Here we set our roots, for all of time.
With each heartbeat's decree, we affirm our pursuit,
Here, in love's embrace, we set our roots.

About this poem

I wrote this poem in April 2024 for a wedding I officiated. Held on the piece of land in rural Kentucky where the couple was building its first home, this poem was the wedding reading to symbolize their commitments to each other, their unborn child (who was later born healthy and happy), and their setting roots together as a family.

Love conqures all things, I admire your ornamented poetic devices, metaphor images, " life is changing season" explores the entire themes of the poem. How couple desires and fullfill their dreams are very reflective and appealing.Overal I enjoy and appreciate your master piece . Congratulations Sir.
