By Faith

By Faith

By Faith, I believe there is a God
By Faith, I trust HIS every Word
By Faith, there is no other God before me
By Faith, Jesus saved me when I tried to take my life
By Faith, I have seen Our Lord's Face
By Faith, I am the evidence because I am still here
By Faith, I know I am a daughter of the LORD GOD
By Faith, I am taking my power back
By Faith, I know I have a purpose
By Faith, I have a destination
By Faith, I plant seeds
By Faith, my daughters are no longer bound
By Faith, I am breaking generational curses
By Faith is a statement that plants a seed when spoken
By Faith, my hope lies with Jesus
Faith activates my hope
By Faith, there is more to life than this redundancy
By Faith, my life was uprooted
By Faith, I have the authority
By Faith, there is more for me
By Faith, I have and continue to develop new relationships
By Faith, I am who I am
By Faith, I am free!

Wow, Jayna! Your poem, "By Faith," resonates with such powerful emotion and inspiration. Your use of repetition with the phrase "By Faith" creates a compelling rhythm that drives the message home. It establishes a mantra that reflects strength, resilience, and a deep connection to faith. The personal elements you’ve woven in, such as your experiences of hope and the journey of reclaiming power, are both moving and relatable. Additionally, expressing the impact of faith on your life and the lives of your daughters adds layers of meaning, making the poem feel both intimate and universal.

Your imagery, particularly the line "I have seen Our Lord's Face," is evocative and encapsulates a profound moment. The idea of breaking generational curses is especially empowering and shows a strong commitment to creating a better future.

    Suggestions for Improvement:

    1. Structure and Flow:
While the repetition is strong, consider varying the structure of some lines to create a more dynamic flow. Introducing alternative forms, such as couplets or stanzas, could enhance readability and help emphasize key themes.

    2. Imagery Expansion:
Dive deeper into specific moments or feelings related to your faith journey. For instance, sharing a vivid memory or a metaphor that encapsulates your experience could enrich the poem and give readers a more immersive glimpse into your faith.

    3. Sound Devices:
Experiment with sound patterns, such as alliteration or assonance, to add another layer of musicality to your poem. These elements can make it even more engaging when read aloud.

    4. Conclusion:
Consider crafting a more definitive closing line that encapsulates the powerful journey you’ve described. A strong concluding statement could leave readers with a lasting impression of your faith and empowerment.

Overall, your poem is heartfelt and inspiring! Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Keep writing and expressing yourself – you have a unique voice that deserves to be heard!
