Downtown Punks
If i said ive missed you would you listen. Would you even hear me. Would you even care. If i said i see you would u still see the love floating in the air. Would you look at our track record of trying to fill a void. Or did you find yours while i was left all destroyed. If i said im the only one who truley knows you the real you from where you came would you hear me or ignore me all the same. So if i said ive missed you n ive watched you all this time. Would it be me or love weve both tried to deny. If i said ill keep walking these shadows n leave you to be would you hear me or finally come running back to me. If i said i still love you is that something you could believe or something you keep avoiding like i still see. Weve lasted all these years claiming to be friends pretending it has came to an end. So if i said i see you will love finally bend. As much as we try to avoid our past maybe its only me who has always hoped our love would last. From tht moment on the green to staring at the stars to back n forth pretending that this love isnt ours. So if i said i still love you a meaning it no longer has if i said i miss you its seems still in the past. So as always ill just pretend the past isnt real. Ill pretend that this love i cannot feel. Maybe its whats been eating at me and what ive needed to release maybe finally saying it ill now be at peace. But just know i can never forget. What we shared was no regret. It was real or atleast to me if you want to keep pretending then love it still wont be. You were my fairytale my dream come true but idk if i was ever that to you.and anyone who knew us knew this to be true i think the only ones denying it are me and you.
