Jesus

There was a heavy knock on my door
Seven knocks, I counted them,
Now who in the world would do that ?
He must be some character to think of that !

On opening he door
I saw something very unusual to my eyes,
A very tall man, dressed in white and sandals
And looking straight ahead !

My imagination made me to think
Was this the Jesus of the Bible ?
I invited Him in to sit on the sofa
Gave Him a cool glass of water, "I needed that"

Now I had seen pictures of Jesus before,
This Guy  was a perfect fit,
But His voice. was like a thousand winds,
And His eyes saw right through you !

I said to Him, " why do I rate such a visit"
Jesus said, "I have heard about you,
You love to tell the story
Of unseen things above".

"You are right, You captured my heart years ago
When I was a young man"
Forever learning, God the Father, His Son and Spirit,
There is no other life like it !

Jesus said, "I have a note from someone special
You knew her for over 50 years
"I said   I would hand delivered it to you
It's never too  late say I love you again !

Jesus said, " I must go"
Turned to the door
And went through it
I rushed outside.

No one was there
Just a little sand  on the floor,
I had a visit today
By Jesus, how about you ?
