Too Deep And Locked Up

Too deep.
With a faith locked up,
In my soul.
My mind is so locked up.
In a faith I hold.
I'm blessed to believe in myself.
No matter where I go.

I felt down feeling low.
Yes!
And from my eyes tears flowed.
Yes!
I had been on my knees weeping.
Thinking I was losing my sanity.
And many nights I couldn't fall asleep.
More of other's troubles I carried.
On my back to do done needlessly.
Believing I was doing a favor.
For the folks in my community.
Making a difference.
But now I keep my distance,
Faithfully.

Too deep.
I let go of that burden.
My faith to hold onto was too valuable.
Too deep.
Came to me a piece of mind.
Negativity I had to leave behind.
To know and believe I could,
Live a life God blessed me to love!
