Elegy for a Land of Hope

Beneath the vast and starlit sky,
Where dreams were born, now whispers sigh.
From amber waves to mountain peaks,
The heart once bold now softly speaks.

Once soaked in freedom’s vibrant hue,
A tapestry where colors grew.
Each thread a story, woven tight—
In every dawn, a new delight.

Yet shadows creep on hallowed ground;
Divisions deepened all around.
What happened to the golden pride?
That beacon bright no longer wide.

With every clash and bitter feud,
The fracture grows; we’ve misconstrued—
The strength that rises when we stand:
Together forged—a healing hand.

Echoes of voices lost in time,
Their laughter lingers like sweet chime.
They dreamt it so—a land united,
Where hope could flourish undivided.

But here we are with hearts laid bare;
An elegy fills the dismal air.
For brothers’ hands not joined as one—
When did our love for peace outrun?

O land of dreams turned dark at night!
May you reclaim your guiding light.
For in each tear that falls anew—
Is promise held within its dew.

So hear this dirge from ages past:
Revive the bond that once held fast.
Let courage rise through foggy seams—we’ll
Plant fresh roots amid our dreams.

And though I mourn what has been lost,
I cling to hope despite the cost.
To heal our wounds and mend estate—
Awake again before too late.

Rest well beneath your azure dome,
Beloved country—find your home.
May unity be found once more,
As tides of change reveal the shore.
